| I have talked a lot about physical activity this year. Many of our members actually did the King Runners event of 5K this past Sunday. Oahu is blessed with a lot of such events all year round with the Half Marathon coming up next month. Our ever pleasant weather allows us to enjoy nature at its best and almost all of these events also serve many charitable purposes. So please hunker down and join in in these activities. We are also making an active effort in the next few months to get 2-4 At Large members to be a part of our Board. It is critical for us to have a diversified voice at te level of the Board and we would like to welcome interested people to reach out. Do not be surprised if your current leadership does reach out to one of you to volunteer in this role. Please start thinking about this seriously. There is also a lot of uncertainty in the labor market at present. With a significant number of federal employees laid off, the State of Hawaii is making an extra effort to accommodate this pool of newly unemployed individuals. | LOTUS UPCOMING EVENTS Holi Celebrations following the Pooja at Wahiawa Shiva Temple on March 16th. Community cooked lunch at 2.15 pm at Ka’ala Neighborhood Park, Wahiawa followed by Play with colors, water and balloons. Please see our website for details and if planning to join us RSVP as we would like to get an accurate count for the food. Please try and respond by March 9th. Founder’s Day and Volunteer Recognition: We are planning this event on April 20th following the Wahiawa Temple Pooja and hope all of our supporters and volunteers will be able to join us. Details will be forthcoming. |
| Temple Activities – March 16th, 2025 Our monthly pooja will start promptly at noon on the 16th at the Wahiawa Shiva Temple. We hope to finish the pooja at 2 pm so that we can have our lunch following this and begin the Holi festivities by 3 pm. Hope to see you all there.  |
