Lotus Hawaii – Virtual Diwali Celebration 2020 Registration Information

Dear LOTUS Ohana:

On behalf of the Board, I would like to invite you to join us in the Virtual Diwali Celebrations which will be broadcast via zoom on November 14th.  Everyone planning to join needs to register individually (one per family) as we need to closely monitor the membership to the event.  We will have the Zoom link active from 5.00 to 9.00 p.m. with the formal portion of the event targeted from 5.30 to 7.00 p.m.  As a subscriber to the LOTUS Newsletter you are getting advance notice of this registration.  Open registration on our website will be available starting November 5th.

Mrs. Indru Watumull and the Watumull family is sponsoring an Indian Vegetarian Bento Dinner Box in memory of her late husband Gulab Watumull.   Mr Watumull was an icon of the Indian community in Hawaii for many decades and the Watumull family and their foundation have supported many cultural and community events over the years.

This is a unique event, in these challenging times requires significant coordination. The Bento Dinner Box will be available as either as an individual package or served as a package for family of four. The total number of Bento boxes will be capped at 300.  It is anticipated most of the people choosing to get Bento boxes will pick up their food between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Downtown at Komala Curry House on Bishop Street.  We will make an attempt to set up strategic pick up points at various locations across Oahu to support families who are either unable or have physical limitation to get to Downtown.

Please register early for the event and make yourself counted for the Bento Boxes. The deadline for registering for Bento boxes is midnight of 11/09. You will receive access to the event and confirmation of your Bento Box order by November 13th.  Please do not share your access details with others. Encourage your friends to register and get access details if they are planning to participate. Please also white list [email protected] on your Mail platform for responses from Lotus Hawaii with respect to this event not being directed to your Junk/Spam folder.
